I began my art career a long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away graduating with a B.F.A. degree in 1984 from the State University of New York at Oswego. I developed a multimedia approach to creating art during those years that formed the basis for my current artistic philosophy. The idea of using multimedia approach in my art practice developed somewhere between the photo darkroom and the print shop studio. The media of choice while in college was predominately non-digital media like traditional photography, printmaking, painting, film making and video production. My current art practice is a predominately digital art practice that is rooted in the intermix of art, music and poetry.
My philosophy for making art is rooted in the intermix of art, music and poetry.
- EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC
Experimental music from the rock band The Digital Poets Society. With our first album, “Digital Dreamtime” the compositions evolved from video imagery and poetic text. It is important to note that the tracks were also designed to act like a hyptext-poem and are meant to be experienced in a random playlist fashion. This allows each new shuffle of the tracks to weave together a unique sound-scape experience for the listener. So, please press shuffle before you press play and we hope you "like" what you hear. We are the Digital Poets Society. Give us a listen and discover our music today!
